Washington Butler is a native of Puyallup who was awed by the arts at a very young age. She sang in choirs entered singing competitions and performed in the community theatre and in high school. She was a student at The University of Southern California and relocated to Los Angeles where she played Belle the beautiful and beast princess in Disneyland for a period of about a year and half. Then she dropped out of school. determined to find a talent agent and began auditioning for work in television and film. Butler was a guest on the TV series CSI: Miami and CSI: NY.She was cast in the film A Couple of White Chicks at the Hair Dresser as well as the 2008 Syfy TV horror movie Flu Bird Horror. She had a role in the year-long web-based series Luke 11:17, which was directed by Don Stark. Butler was also a regular part on I Love Vampires, a web-based serial. Butler won the leading role in the 2010 thriller about rape and revenge I Spit on Your Grave. The remake is a remake from 1978 of the beloved iconic film with the same title. Although initially she was not a fan of the film's violence and nudity she was eventually convinced by the feminist nature of the plot and the strong characters. Butler played Jennifer Hills who, after being severely attacked by a forest cabin, and sexually assaulted by a gang, vows to take revenge on those responsible. Produced by Steven R. Monroe the film premiered on October 8th of 2010. Butler began the filming of The Stranger Within (a psychological thriller) in Mallorca Spain with Estella Ward and William Baldwin back in November 2011. The film was scheduled for shooting in Copenhagen Denmark and New York City.She joined the cast of the feature film independent Treachery featuring Michael Biehn which began filming in Los Angeles in June 2012. Butler played a role in 2013's thriller The Demented with Michael Welch and Kayla Ewell.
